Turtle

Image
This guy was photographed by a work friend in the Cayman Islands. She was a dive instructor with a wonderful eye for photography. I painted this and sold it the next week to another dive instructor!

Thom, my favourite painting of all time.

I was obsessed with Radiohead in my early twenties.. I am still a huge fan.. I have never been so happy and so proud of myself as when I finished this piece. It was huge, so huge that my dad accidentally put it through the corner of a fireplace when moving a couch. I think he cried. I was a little mad at him, but look, it ended up being a funny story in the end! It is currently collecting dust under my mothers bed.

various sketch work

Image
These are my favourite kinds of work. I often sit down, especially on airplanes and sketch various people when they have no idea I am drawing them. It is really funny to watch peoples faces when they are completely relaxed watching TV or on their phone. Yes.. I am a stalker..

Oh MAYA god

Image
My newest adventure, 3D animation. Here are some screen shots of my work on Maya. This is not easy work. Taking everything I know about art and the human body and basically throwing it out the window. 3D animation is a lot of graph work. It involves a lot of getting off your seat and moving around, then trying to mimic that movement using a key board and a mouse! It is certainly challenging, but I love it!

Raster-bating

Image
You know you have a cool dad when he helps you take one of your paintings, pays to print it on 20 A4 sheets (raster-bated it!) and takes you out at 5am, on a cold Irish morning, to slap it on the walls of Galway. Paper and print of older painting.

Cambodian Skull

Image
From my time in Cambodia. I was deeply effected by the killing fields. This was done using images I had photographed of the teenage skulls left behind by the Paul Potts movement. The lighter part on the right hand side was material I found dug into the ground beside the fields. Acrylic on board.

Trump

Image
The man himself, in all his glory. I was living in Canada at the time of his election. I was so mad at the world I painted this. I tried to capture the essence of his evil by using broader brush strokes and deeper, angrier colours. Acrylic on canvas.
